A person can literally bet on anything. Proof of that is that the Steelers have opened as the favorite to beat the Seahawks in Seattle’s preseason opener. Here are the odds.

But hey. Who am I to judge? If you want to place money on the Seahawks beating Pittsburgh this coming Saturday, go for it, and good luck to you. And to help you figure out how best to spend your money, WynnBET is the place to go.

The site has an early line at -3 for Pittsburgh. The moneyline has Seattle at +135 meaning if you bet $100 you will win $135. Pittsburgh is -165 which means if you bet $165 you will win $100. But beware. Because betting on a preseason game means betting on a game when you might not be too sure of which players play and how long they will.

Either way, there is a lot to watch for in the game. Both teams need to see how their quarterback position is shaping up before Week 1. The Seahawks, of course, might start Drew Lock or Geno Smith and how these two players do on Saturday is going to go a long way towards resolving that.

What to watch for when the Seahawks play the Steelers in the preseason opener

The same could be said of Pittsburgh, though maybe to a lesser degree. The Steelers drafted Kenny Pickett in the first round in this year’s draft but he isn’t expected to start at the beginning of the year. Mitch Trubisky is. But if Pickett is fantastic in preseason, and this includes Saturday’s game versus Seattle obviously, and Trubisky looks bad, maybe all bets are off.

Cornerback is still an open spot for the Seahawks, too. But this one is a bit more exciting. While there is still a lot of unknown about how good the young corners like Tre Brown, Coby Bryant and Tariq Woolen can be, Bryant and Woolen are already better than expected in training camp.

dark. Next. 3 Seahawks that could be surprise roster cuts before Week 1

One thing you probably won’t see is a lot of DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett or Rashaad Penny. At least one of those guys might not play at all. They are far too important in the regular season to risk them getting hurt in a game that for most players is meaningless. That is if your name isn’t Drew Lock or Geno Smith.
