Seahawks new LOB

Cornerbacks (6)

PUP: Tre Brown

Brown will start on the PUP list after being injured in the middle of 2021 and requiring knee surgery. The Seahawks have high hopes for him but he only played in a handful of games last year and is injured to start this season so who knows if he will ever stay healthy enough to prove how good he can be.

The starters might be Sidney Jones IV and Artie Burns. Or they might be rookies Coby Bryant or Tariq Woolen. But all four of those players seem set on making the team so Seattle might have to work its way into the season a bit before they know for sure who will be their starters. Everyone will get a chance.

The problem with that is that each player has a major flaw at this point. Jones gets hurt a lot and is inconsistent. Burns has never been consistent enough to prove he can be a full-time starter in the league. Woolen is so raw that it wouldn’t take much for a good, veteran QB to take advantage of him early in the season. And Bryant has issues tackling, though he did better against the Bears in preseason game 2.

I think Mike Jackson makes the team too. He has had a solid camp and was good in preseason game 1 and simply just seems like he wants to play. Pete Carroll loves those kinds of guys.
