The second quarter of the season won’t get any better for the Seahawks after starting 1-3.

Week 5 at New Orleans Saints

The Seahawks will face off against the New Orleans Saints for the second year in a row. Last season they played in Seattle where the Seahawks lost 13-10 in a fairly low-scoring game. This year they will travel to New Orleans to face the Saints’ defense, who ranked in the top 10 last season.

The Saints added safeties Marcus Maye and three-time All-Pro Tyrann Mathieu to the roster this off-season.

Prediction: L 27-10

Week 6 vs. Arizona Cardinals

Week 6 will be the second division match-up for the Seahawks of the year. Games between Seattle and Arizona typically end 10 points or less from one another and despite the Seahawks QB woes, I expect that to be the case in week 6 too.

The Cardinals started last season on a hot streak of 7-0 and looked promising. However, they quickly hit a wall and only won four of their next 10 games.

Prediction: L 16-10

Week 7 at Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers surprisingly went 9-8 last season and are expected to win over 10 games in 2022. Quarterback Justin Herbert is on the rise with the sixth-best MVP odds at +1000 according to ESPN and the Chargers are considered to be a serious Super Bowl candidate.

Prediction: L 42-17

Week 8 vs. New York Giants

The Giants aren’t expected to have a very great year either so for now, Seattle takes the cake in this inter-conference matchup.

Prediction: W 17-13
