In the past week, we saw Drew Lock turn into Drew Unluck, the Seahawks get embarrassed on national television, and did we learn anything with just a few weeks until Russell Wilson returns?

Maybe things will change once real games begin and DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett and others are playing for the Seahawks. And that’s just on the offensive side of the ball. Quandre Diggs and Jamal Adams will be back for Week 1 too.

Or 2022 could simply be an awful year. Let’s hope for a more positive outcome than what we have seen so far in preseason, though.

Notes from the Nest: Seahawks prepare for last preseason game of 2022

The week started off with a huge bummer

  •  We found out Drew Lock was going to miss the second preseason game against the Bears, due to COVID-19.
  • First off, I’m glad he’s ok and healthy. It sucks that we’re about to head into our third season of worrying about players’ health and ability to play in games, but that’s the world we live in now.
  • From a football perspective, this was incredibly disappointing. After Geno looked like Geno in week one against Pittsburgh, and Lock showed some real promise with the 2’s, I was excited to see what he could do for a half with some starters. This was Lock’s first legitimate shot to take the job in my opinion, and he didn’t get the chance.
