Seahawks wide receivers and tight ends

Receivers 53-man roster: DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, Dee Eskridge, Marquise Goodwin, Dareke Young and Freddie Swain

Practice squad: Bo Melton and Penny Hart

After the first two stars (Metcalf and Lockett), it is really a crap shoot as to who makes the team. No third receiver stood out in training camp or preseason. Rookies Melton and Young dropped too many balls. At least Young has good size and could be a red zone threat.

I think Seattle keeps Swain but only because the Seahawks at least have an idea of what he can do. This is one reason I think Seattle keeps six receivers. There is just so much unknown.

At least we can assume a healthy Metcalf and Lockett will be very good no matter who the quarterback is. They are too talented to not be.

Tight ends 53-man roster: Noah Fant, Will Dissly and Colby Parkinson

This is probably the easiest group on the team to predict. The issue is in preseason they didn’t do much. Dissly didn’t play a lot but dropped his only target in the Cowboys game. Fant has yet to show how extremely athletic he is. Parkinson can catch decently but doesn’t seem like he can do much with the ball once he has it.
