The Seattle Seahawks play the Broncos and Russell Wilson in Week 1 of the 2022 season. Here is how our staff sees the game playing out.

And let’s be real, right? We have zero ideas what the 2022 Seahawks are actually going to do. They could be completely blown out by the Broncos on Monday Night Football to start the season or they might force Wilson into a bunch of errors and Seattle wins the game.

Seattle winning the game almost makes more sense in a way. What would be the better storyline in the NFL? Seattle loses and it’s what everyone expected and Seattle becomes a backstory for the rest of the year. Or, Seattle wins and shocks the NFL and the for the next two days all we hear about is how good Russell Wilson can actually make the Broncos.

From our site’s standpoint, Seattle winning 68-0 would be absolutely fine with us but also incredibly unrealistic.

Staff predictions for Seahawks versus Broncos Week 1

And we don’t see the game the way many NFL pundits will likely see it. Everyone seemingly has written off Seattle in 2022 because Russell Wilson now plays in Denver. But Seattle still has a ton of talent. Jamal Adams and Quandre Diggs might be the best safety duo in the NFL. DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett surely form a top-10 wide receiver duo.

And maybe in 2022 Seattle will have a quarterback who actually checks down to its tight ends over the middle and extends drives. No shade thrown towards Wilson, but Wilson would have been better at times had he just taken the safe way out instead of holding on to the ball too long and taking a bad sack.

So how does the final score of the game look? This is how our staff sees it.
