Seahawks vs. 49ers Week 2: Preview, time, injuries, streaming and more
By Lee Vowell
The Seahawks play the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Seattle is 1-0 and the 49ers are 0-1. Here is all you need to know about the game.
Maybe the biggest question about Week 2 for Seattle is which offense will show up. Will it be the one that scored 17 points in the first half in Week 1 and looked efficient and easy? Or the one that scored zero points in the second half as Seattle barely held on to a victory?
Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith was brilliant in that first half as he missed on just one throw and moved around in the pocket extremely well. Against a much better 49ers pass rush in Week 2, Smith will still need to move well in the pocket but might have to try to pick up first downs with his legs as well.
For the 49ers, they just need their offense to score about 20 points to win. Trey Lance is still a quarterback learning his way so if he doesn’t turn the ball over, the 49ers should be OK. That said, there is an 84 percent chance of rain during the game so weather could factor into the outcome.

Seahawks Injury Report vs. 49ers Week 2
Seattle looks like they will see rookie running back Ken Walker III play his first NFL game. Walker missed Week 1 after having hernia surgery in the preseason. But now, he isn’t listed on the injury report at all. The Seahawks only list safety Joey Blount as doubtful while cornerbacks Artie Burns and Justin Coleman as listed as questionable. Coleman seems likely to play, however.
It appears that Seattle will also get left guard Damien Lewis back in Week 2 as well. Lewis injured his ankle in the preseason and missed Week 1.
For the 49ers, all-world tight end George Kittle is listed as questionable with a groin injury. He missed Week 1 and if he can play in Week 2 would likely be limited.
(Update: Coleman and Blount have now officially been ruled out for Week 2.)
Seahawks vs. 49ers Odds and Betting Pick for Week 2
Per BetSided, the 49ers are favored by 9.5 (again, 9.5! What?) points at home. That spread is ridiculous as the 49ers didn’t exactly show that they had an explosive offense in Week 1. They scored 10 against Chicago. 12th Man Rising’s Jake Luppino picks Seattle against the spread at least.
