Prediction 3: Marcus Mariota throws for 250 yards and runs for 80 but the Seahawks win a close game

I am not sure how good the Seahawks defense is. They are so young in so many spots that the reason they gave up over 400 yards in Week 1 and almost 400 in Week 2 might be inexperience instead of a lack of talent. That said, everyone in a Seattle uniform is a grown man and gets paid to play in the NFL so there can’t be too many excuses. And maybe – maybe – Seattle’s defense improved from Week 1 to Week 2.

I don’t think Falcons quarterback Marcus Mariota is very good but I do think he is able to take advantage of a young defense. He has the ability to run and run well and a defense must stay disciplined against him. A young defense normally has problems staying fully disciplined. That said, I think Mariota probably has his best game of the season in Week 3.

The Falcons also scored 26 points against the Saints and, offensively, scored 20 against the Rams. Both the Rams and Saints have good defenses. The same cannot be said of the Seahawks yet.

Next. 3 Seahawks that were awful in Week 2. dark

But Mariota also can turn the ball over. So far in 2022, Seattle has created 2 turnovers, both fumbles. I think Seattle picks off Mariota twice and the offense looks a lot better after committing more to the run and Seattle wins 29-26.
