The Seahawks are 2-2 heading into Week 5 while the Saints are just 1-3. But with how bad Seattle’s defense has been, anything can happen on Sunday.

While Geno Smith has been off to the hottest start in NFL history (literally when it comes to completion percentage through four games), the offense is seemingly going to have to carry the defense for the foreseeable future if Seattle wants to win many more games.

Seattle is 11th in the NFL in scoring. New Orleans is 18th. But Seattle is 31st in points allowed and the Saints are 21st. One of the more glaring statistics for Seattle defensively, though, is they are giving up 6.7 yards per play, worst in the league. The Saints are 8th-best at 5.0.

So basically, for Seattle to win in Week 5, the offense is going to have to get to 25 points or so and then the Seahawks can hold on for all that is dear that the defense doesn’t blow a potential 4th quarter lead.

Seahawks vs. Saints Odds and Betting Pick for Week 5

Per BetSided, the Saints are favored at -4.5 at home. It should be noted that the Saints will probably be without receiver Michael Thomas and will be starting Andy Dalton at quarterback. New Orleans has a good defense, though, so Seattle’s defense will need to be much better this week to keep it close.
