Seahawks vs. Chargers Week 7: Preview, start time, TV and stream

The 3-3 Seattle Seahawks play the 4-2 Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday in Week 7 of the 2022 NFL season. Both teams are tied for first place in their respective divisions. But who has the advantage this week?

Both teams have good quarterbacks. (And if haven’t watched any football this year and are just reading this, it is true. Geno Smith has been very good.) And both quarterbacks are turnover-averse. Smith has thrown just two picks and Herbert three.

But like every Seattle game in 2022, this might simply come down to how well the defense plays. In Week 6, Seattle’s D played by far its best game of the year but now they must do the same thing but against a better quarterback. Seattle still ranks 30th in yards-allowed-per-play (6.2) and 28th in yards-allowed-per-rush (5.1).

But this also could be a big game for Seahawks rookie running back Ken Walker. The Chargers are last in the NFL in yards-allowed-per-rush with 5.6. Los Angeles is also 26th in overall yards-allowed-per-play at 5.9.

Per BetSided, the Cardinals are favored at -5 at home. Basically, Seattle continues to get no respect this year with oddsmakers. Though the team is 3-3 they have only been favored in one game. That is probably OK with Pete Carroll and the young players as it is just extra motivation to prove how good the team can be.
