Three and out: Notes from Seahawks Week 7 victory over Chargers
By Almar Reyes
Seahawks QB Geno Smith keeps getting it done
At the start of this season, no one gave any chance to Geno Smith and the Seahawks to win many games. After Seattle’s Week 7 victory over LA Chargers, Geno and the Seahawks are proving all their critics wrong. The let Geno cook is proving to be the best recipe for the Seahawks this season as they try to keep the pace going every game.
Geno was not particularly spectacular in this game as he finished with 210 passing yards to go along with 2 passing touchdowns and 1 interception. However, Geno did enough to keep the offense rolling against the Chargers and keep them on their heels. Another victory under Geno’s belt as Seattle’s starter as they continue to make everyone a believer in this team.
The beneficiary of Geno’s two touchdown throws was Marquise Goodwin who caught 4 passes for 67 yards. Geno spread the wealth pretty much evenly on this one as Will Dissly and Tyler Lockett each ended up with identical 45 receiving yards. Geno will have to continue to spread the ball around in their next games as it was not all cherry on top on this one after losing their top wide receiver DK Metcalf due to a knee injury.
