Three and out: Notes from Seahawks Week 9 win over Cardinals
By Almar Reyes
The Seattle Seahawks won in Week 9 against the Arizona Cardinals for their fourth consecutive victory and moved to 6-3 on the season. The Seahawks’ win against their division rival Cardinals also ensured they stayed atop the NFC West division.
Week after week this team keeps every doubter wrong as they continue their winning streak whilst pushing their rival to the brink. This impressive win also showed us that Geno Smith and the Seahawks can push and fight back after being knocked down in the game. A great showing of resiliency from a team touted by most during the offseason to be a lottery-bound team.
While Seattle stay put during the NFL trade deadline and saw other teams around them improve their lineup, the Seahawks’ win this week proved that they got what they needed in their own locker room. By not adding or subtracting to their current lineup, the Seahawks did not shake up what has been developing great chemistry on the field which is resulting in their continued winning ways.
Seahawks seemingly get better each week
The win by the Seahawks against the Cardinals in Week 9 will definitely put everyone around the league on notice that indeed they are the real deal this season. Proving they can duplicate their win against Arizona in Week 7 and face the same team in the past 3 weeks, it showed that the previous win was not a fluke one. Not only are they winning on the offensive side of the ball, but during their four-game winning streak, their defense had been holding up their end of the stick.
As the Seahawks prepare to board to fly to Germany and face the Bucs, here are the notes from their Week 9 win against the Cardinals.
