We have reached week 12 of the college football season, and we have reached the final week of the regular season. We saw major battles, performances, and injuries this week. Awards and conference championships will be set next week. All of this could affect who, if anyone, the Seahawks take in the 2023 NFL draft at quarterback.

Just like this college football season has seen teams rise and fall, with only a few left standing, the same can be said for our QB rankings when looking for possibly the next Seahawks quarterback. That is if Seattle even needs one. Geno Smith has been playing pretty well.

Today, we’re going to go through my top 4 tiers of quarterbacks from interesting undrafted projects, to guys that will be nearly impossible to pass with a top-ten pick. Of course, Seattle might have a top-five pick next year. The team has Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos to thank for that.

Top tiers of QBs the Seahawks should look to choose in 2023 NFL draft: Week 12

Tier 4- Take a late (5th to UDFA) tier

Jayden Daniels, D.J. Uiagalelei, Stetson Bennett, Max Duggan, Dillon Gabriel, Tanner McKee, Dorian Thompson-Robinson.

All of these quarterbacks have a ton of potential, but also a ton of red flags. Almost all of these quarterbacks bring a mobility weapon to the table that can be tantalizing, yet lack consistency. The others are glorified game managers that are more likely to become the next AJ McCarron than the next Kirk Cousins.

Quarterbacks Stetson Bennett and Max Duggan appear for the game manager, career backup mold. They both appear to be nearing College Football Playoff berths, and potential matchups where they can show their skills.

If Seattle is honest in their desire to lock up Geno Smith to a major contract, then these are the guys to look to for backups going forward.
