Geno Smith finds a way to guide the Seahawks to a win
When the 2022 season started, and Geno Smith was tapped to be the Seattle Seahawks starting quarterback, no one envisioned him to be gun-slinging the football. Geno was looked on as a game manager, handling the ball over to their running backs and limiting some mistakes by throwing less football. However, in thirteen weeks, we are seeing a rejuvenation from the once journeyman quarterback.
As Seahawks fans, we should be thankful that Geno is playing the way he is right now or we might be looking at a losing season if not for his gameplay this year. The same can be said during this game as the Seahawks were staring at a loss as the Rams went on top 23-20 late in the 4th quarter on the back of a 7-yard touchdown yard by Cam Akers.
However, just like most of the Seahawks wins this season, Geno calmly guided the offense downfield and be able to regain the lead 27-23 with a Geno Smith to DK Metcalf connection in the endzone with only 36 seconds left in the game. Geno Smith finished the game with 367 passing yards to go along with 3 touchdowns with only 1 pick. These are the types of games the Seahawks need from Geno in order for the team to be able to march themselves into the playoffs this season.
