The Seahawks are 7-5 entering Week 14 when Seattle plays the 4-8 Carolina Panthers. Seattle needs a win to keep its postseason dream alive. But injuries might be an issue, especially as this will be the first of two games for Seattle in five days.

And I will be honest. I am worried about this game. Carolina is no pushover despite their record.

The Panthers are 3-3 over their last six games. And Seattle head coach Pete Carroll has some critical decisions to make on who plays and who doesn’t. Ken Walker III, DeeJay Dallas, DK Metcalf, Will Dissly, and Ryan Neal are all listed as questionable. Carroll might decide some of those players are more important to hold out Sunday with the thought they will play Thursday versus the San Francisco 49ers.

The issue is that there are only five games left in the season and Seattle can’t really afford any losses if the team has any chance to win the NFC West or at least make the playoffs. Carolina can certainly beat Seattle no matter who plays for the Seahawks, but a weakened Seattle team? That’s not good.

Seahawks vs. Panthers Odds and Betting Pick for Week 14

Per BetSided, the Seahawks are favored by just -3.5 which is weird because Seattle is at home and is 7-5 while the Panthers are 4-8. BetSided thinks if Seattle doesn’t have Ken Walker III running the ball while defensively Seattle can’t stop the run, there could be issues for Seattle.

Seattle’s next game will be at home versus the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday Night Football on December 15th at 5:15 pm PT. So, yes. Seattle has a really short week after the Panthers game and might choose to hold out some key players, such as Ken Walker III, for Thursday night’s massively important contest.
