At the start of the 2022 season, no one envisioned the Seattle Seahawks winning as many games as they were able to get, let alone being able to get in the playoffs. With their playoff appearance, they have proven every doubter wrong, a job well done for this team. Although this team came up short against a white-hot and much superior team in the San Francisco 49ers, the Seahawks have shown us that football is an actual team sport.

This was a bumpy season for the Seahawks. There were a lot of downs than ups despite Seattle’s records. But the team managed to stay within themselves and be able to go out on the field and compete.

Early on during the game against the 49ers, there seemed to be hopes of an upset. Wouldn’t that have been something? In the end, the deck was really stacked high against them. Led by Geno Smith, though, the Seahawks offense, was able to go toe to toe with the ferocious 49ers defense in the first half, a task that seemed to be an impossible task coming into the game.

The 2022 Seattle team embraced the challenge and the underdog mantra and gave it all they have to prove to everyone that they belong. The playoffs might be short-lived, and the season might be over for the Seahawks, but from what we have witnessed from this team this year, there are brighter days ahead. The players should hold their heads up high with pride even after a crushing defeat.

As Seattle’s season is now closed, here are the three takeaways from their gut-wrenching defeat at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers.
