On this week’s 12th Man Rising podcast, we discuss who the Seattle Seahawks should have at quarterback for the 2023 season. Should Seattle re-sign Geno Smith? Draft a quarterback? Sign a free agent or trade for a QB? There are a lot of options.

It is almost easy to relax and think, “OK, Seattle is going to bring back Geno. Now we can focus on the draft. Go Hawks!” But that may not be the case at all.

Seattle lost quarterbacks coach Dave Canales to the Buccaneers last week (he will be the Buccaneers’ new offensive coordinator – pay raise, yo!) and maybe Geno Smith wants to join him in Tampa Bay. Smith is a Florida native who might love to play the rest of his career in warmer weather. Heck, if the pay was the same and you didn’t want to be in the cold and rainy all the time, wouldn’t you go to Florida? Maybe hang out on the beaches and dig for sand dollars? Or maybe that’s just me.

There is plenty of (what we think is) pretty fantastic and life-changing talk throughout the show about other things, too. Want to hear our thoughts on biscuit bingo? Or possibly how to make the best sweet potato fries? Maybe you want to hear this week’s Rob Gordons which are five favorite bands we have seen live. You can always download the podcast for multiple listens as well (so that you can sit around with pets and listen to the program).
