The Seattle Seahawks will host the Minnesota Vikings in Week 16 in a must-win game for Seattle, and not so much of one for the Vikings. Seattle is currently tied for the NFC West lead, but the team they are tied with, the Los Angeles Rams, currently holds the tie-break lead. To make it easier on themselves to make the postseason, Seattle needs to win its final three games.
Minnesota is 12-2, has already clinched a playoff spot, and has a real chance to win the NFC North. They still need to keep winning to try to secure home-field advantage throughout the playoffs, so they won't be taking it easy on Seattle.
The same issues that Seattle had with the Green Bay Packers in Week 15 could be present in Week 16. The Vikings have a stout defense, are very good against the run, and could make Seattle one-dimensional. Offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb will have to have his best play-calling game of the season for the Seahawks to win.
Seahawks vs. Vikings announcers for Week 16
The Seahawks versus Vikings game will be shown on FOX (which is FOX 13 in Seattle), and much of the northern part of the United States, from Minnesota to the Pacific Northwest, will get to see it (of course). Randomly, if you live in Southern California, a path from Nashville to Cleveland, Saint Louis, and parts of Kansas and Missouri, you will also get to watch the game on your TV set.
The broadcast crew is a good one. Adam Amin will do the play-by-play while Mark Sanchez will provide the commentary, and Kristina Pink will report from the sideline. This is FOX's number three crew, but they are certainly of high quality.
Seahawks vs. Vikings officiating crew for Week 16
The good news, if you are the head official for the Seahawks versus the Vikings (in other words, if you happen to be Craig Wrolstad), is you won't be far from home when you travel to Lumen Field. Wrolstad is from the Seattle area, lives in Lake Tapps, and is the athletic director at Seattle Christian School. Still, 12s should not expect him to be a homer and pro-Seahawks. Wrolstad has been in the league since 2003 and knows how to do his job well.
The rest of Wrolstad's crew consists of Steve Woods, Danny Short, Brett Bergman, Jeff Shears, Frank Steratore, Rich Martinez, Gavin Anderson, and Ken Hall. There should be no concerns with the officiating in Week 16.
