Final Seahawks injury report for Week 11 brings hope for a better offensive line
By Lee Vowell
The Seattle Seahawks should have been healthier for Week 11 against the San Francisco 49ers as Seattle had its bye week in Week 10. The team was hoping to get a couple of key players back, and that appears to be the case. Wide receiver DK Metcalf is expected to return after missing the two previous games.
Seattle should also get right tackle Abraham Lucas back. Lucas has missed the entire season so far and missed a chunk of 2023 as well. The issue was a nagging knee problem that Lucas had offseason surgery on. At first, the team was hoping he could return for training camp, but he was nowhere near ready.
Lucas was the presumed starter at right tackle for the last three seasons for Seattle. He was very effective in his rookie season, but that feels like decades ago. The question now is how long Lucas can continue to be available to play. Hopefully, the team has intentionally not rushed the right tackle back so that when he does return, he will stay healthy for quite some time.
Seattle Seahawks' final injury report for Week 11 looks as good as can be expected
Seattle will have issues at tight end, though. Noah Fant will miss his second straight game with a groin injury. Brady Russell will miss the game with a foot problem. This leaves rookie AJ Barner, who has played pretty well in 2024, and veteran Pharaoh Brown to get the reps at the position.
Still, overall, this is the healthiest the Seahawks have been in weeks. If they are going to be able to compete with the 49ers then they have as much talent as Seattle can muster in order to do it. Seattle badly needs a victory to start its second half of the season, too, as the team has lost five of their last six games.
