The NFL Combine is a yearly event where draft hopefuls show up and prove how fast and strong they are. Of course, you, dear Seattle Seahawks fan, know this. You watched as DK Metcalf put on a ridiculously athletic performance at the 2019 combine. He ran a 4.33 40, his vertical was 40.5 inches, and he did 27 raps on the bench press. And yet, he fell to the last pick of the second round.
Normally, performances like that would push a potential draftee far up draft boards, but Metcalf was seen as a poor route-runner with iffy hands, an injury risk, and might have been more of a physical freak. The truth is that he has not yet shown he can be a dynamic route-runner, but he is still bigger and faster than most players and has had a productive career.
In the end, Seattle was lucky to get Metcalf. He might not be WR1 after 2024 (that appears to be Jaxon Smith-Njigba), but Metcalf's presence makes teams nervous and that opens up the field for JSN. The two work well together.
How Seattle Seahawks fans can watch and stream the 2025 NFL Combine
Let's say you want a chance to see what other players might be Metcalf-like, and other prospects Seattle is rumored to be thinking about. How can you do that? Well, it is easy, but only if you have the NFL Network or it belongs to your television package.
That is because the 2025 NFL Combine will be shown exclusively on the NFL Network. This makes sense as the event is an NFL one instead of a team-based one, so the league would want to showcase its future stars on its own network. That is just good business.
You can also watch on NFL+, too, though you'd need a subscription for that as well. At least, you can stream the combine from anywhere if you do pay for it. Here is which position groups are going when.
- Defensive linemen/linebackers - Thursday, February 27 beginning at 12 pm PT
- Defensive backs/tight ends - Friday, February 28 beginning at 12 pm PT
- Quarterbacks/wide receivers/running backs - Saturday, March 1 beginning at 10 am PT
- Offensive linemen - Sunday, March 2 beginning at 10 am PT
In other words, you will mostly be looking to see how strong guys are on Thursday and Sunday, and seeing how fast guys are on Friday and Saturday. Let's just hope one of the more impressive players ends up with the Seahawks.
