While overshadowed by the fall of Shedeur Sanders, Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe took a major slide down the order in the 2025 NFL Draft after getting some late first-round hype. The Seattle Seahawks decided to end his fall by picking him with the No. 92 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

While Milroe entered the draft as a premium athlete, teams may have been a little too scared by the possibility that his developmental needs would take too much time away from the offensive coaching staff. Seattle believes that sitting behind Sam Darnold could be the best option for him at this point in his career.

The fact that the NFL invited Milroe to the green room during the first round festivities suggested that many believed he would be selected in the late stages of the first round. After a longer wait than anyone anticipated, Milroe is ready to exact revenge on the rest of the league.

When asked if he had a message for all the teams who kept passing on him, Milroe replied "belt to a**" in an NSFW introduction to the Seattle media. If he put that on a T-shirt right now, Seahawks fans might make him a millionaire several times over. How can you not love the guy?

Milroe only threw for 16 touchdowns and 11 interceptions last season (and threw more INTs than TDs against SEC teams), but those numbers do exclude the 20 rushing scores. With a 4.4 40-yard dash under his belt at 220 pounds, Milroe is a premium athlete with room to grow in Seattle.

While a Klint Kubiak-based offense that relies heavily on timing and processing in the pocket might be a tough fit for Milroe during his rookie season, he did get lucky in that he went to an offense that has typically produced some high-volume numbers from quarterbacks.

Darnold might be the locked in starter for Seattle, but the fact that he has exactly one season of being an above-average starter could create an opening that Milroe uses to become a starter for Mike Macdonald.
