Kenneth Walker shows Seahawks fans everything they've been missing in Week 2

Finally and with resounding effort.

The Seattle Seahawks look like a new team exiting Week 2. After a tough Week 1 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, when the offense looked weak and dismal, the rest of the season now looks positive. That is how the NFL works: It's a week-by-week game.

But what many fans did not expect to happen in Week 2 was for running back Kenneth Walker III to be good. In the past two seasons, he has often been injured and not very good when he did play. In Week 2, he reminded Seahawks fans of everything he once was and could be.

Walker ran over, through, and past Steelers defenders. He sealed the game on 3rd and goal from the Pittsburgh 19 when a field goal seemed imminent. Instead, quarterback Sam Darnold tossed the ball to his left to Walker, whose speed and twitchiness were far too much for the Steelers, and Walker scored a touchdown.

With just a few minutes remaining, Seattle led 31-17, and the Steelers' offense had not proven it could do very much on a long field against the Seahawks' defense.

The Seahawks had a lot of stars in the game, one in which they trailed 14-7 in the first half, but none bigger than Walker, who finished with 105 yards rushing on 13 carries, a touchdown, and averaged 8.1 yards a rush. He looked like he did as a rookie when he exploded for three 60-yard runs.

If Walker can continue his performance in Week 2, when he didn't hesitate as much as he normally does and instead tried to find the small holes in the offensive line, he will turn back into the player Seattle Seahawks fans hoped he would be when he was a rookie.

Maybe this was a one-week piece of greatness. After all, the Steelers were putrid against the run in Week 1 when they defeated a poor New York Jets offense. Walker might have just taken advantage of a bad Pittsburgh defense. But Zach Charbonnet couldn't do that; only Walker could.
