The Seattle Seahawks' offense might look a lot different in 2026. Offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak will no longer be calling the shots, and Kenneth Walker III won't have double-digit carries for them every week.
That said, they will still probably try to make life easier for Sam Darnold with a well-balanced and established running game. To do that, they will either need to replace right guard Anthony Bradford or for him to step up once and for all.
For years, Bradford has been tabbed as the weakest link on the Seahawks' offense. Unfortunately, last season wasn't the exception to that rule, and failing to replace him in the 2026 NFL Draft could come back to haunt this team.
The Seattle Seahawks can't afford to keep trusting Anthony Bradford
The Seahawks entered the 2025 NFL Draft with some glaring needs in the interior of the offensive line. Taking Grey Zabel was a big step in the right direction, and while he wasn't always great as a rookie, he's got potential, and some growing pains are natural for first-year linemen.
Bradford isn't in his first year, though. He just finished his third season in the league, so either the scheme doesn't suit him, or he's just not a starting-caliber right guard. Either way, the Seahawks can't afford to have him holding them back again next season.
He's shown some teeth and had some impressive blocks every here and there, like moving bodies out of the way to help Kenneth Walker III run for 29 yards to set up a field goal in the Super Bowl. However, that's insufficient when he's giving the defense a wide-open look at Sam Darnold just a couple of plays later.
According to Pro Football Focus (subscription required), Bradford gave up 38 total pressures, including 27 hurries, six QB hits, and five sacks. He was also called for five penalties, all of which were accepted. He was also the fifth-worst run-blocking guard in the entire league, according to their algorithm. Those numbers don't tell the whole picture, but the eye test didn't do him any favors, either.
The Seahawks will have multiple chances to address this issue, with guys like Chase Bisontis, Jalen Farmer, or Emmanuel Pregnon.
Hopefully, Zabel will be a bit more consistent after a full year of experience under his belt, and Jalen Sundell will keep providing some slightly above-average play. This team is just too talented to allow a weak link on the trenches to make their offense march backward every other drive.
