The NFL season is through six games which means we are very close, as difficult as it seems, to being halfway through the season. The Seattle Seahawks got off to a great start by winning their first three games but have been lost defensively in the last three and failed to win any of them. San Francisco might be ready to run away with the division again.

But where do the power rankings stand currently? The weird part is that the 49ers lead the division even though they have a losing record against NFC West teams. The Cardinals have not lost to a division rival yet, but are in third place.

This all implies there is a lot of football left to play this season. That is good because Seattle needs time to turn their season back around. That should give 12s some hope anyway.

Where do the Seahawks stand in the NFC West power rankings ahead of Week 7?

4. Los Angeles Rams (1-4)

The Rams, likely due to injuries, are off to a wretched start, but things might be about to get much easier. So much so that the Seahawks should be a bit worried about whether they can begin to win games again. While LA is 1-4, their next five games are against the Las Vegas Raiders, Minnesota Vikings, Seahawks, Miami Dolphins, and New England Patriots. Three of those - Raiders, Patriots, and Dolphins - should certainly be wins.

There is a decent chance that the Rams will get back to 5-5 and force Seattle and Arizona to battle for last place in the NFC West. This is especially true as the Rams are going to start getting key players back from injuries.

3. Seattle Seahawks (3-3)

Seattle's record appears to be extremely misleading at this point. They won three games to begin the season against offensively challenged teams and got run over by a New England Patriots team with a bad offensive line. In the last three games, Seattle has had a putrid defense and made mental mistakes on offense and special teams. Seattle might be 3-3, but they aren't as good as their record.

The schedule does not get easier before the Week 10 bye week, either. Seattle will play a Falcons team in Atlanta, and the Falcons have won three straight and have a dynamic offense. After that, Seattle plays the Buffalo Bills who might run all over the Seahawks. Seattle will then take on the always-tricky Los Angeles Rams. Seattle could be 3-6 before the bye.

2. Arizona Cardinals (2-4)

The Cardinals are certainly struggling offensively, which is somewhat of a surprise because the team was expected to excel there while being terrible defensively. The scary part, even though the Cardinals haven't gotten off to a great start, is that the offensive talent is there to succeed. Once Kyler Murray and his mates begin to find their rhythm, they could go on a winning streak.

The biggest reason that Arizona is ranked higher here than Seattle is the Cardinals are 2-0 in the division and have a win over the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers made the Seahawks look weak in Week 6, but they couldn't do that against the Cardinals in Week 5. That likely says a lot about Arizona.

1. San Francisco 49ers (3-3)

The 49ers lead the division, but San Francisco probably had higher hopes than beginning the season 3-3. They have suffered key injuries and more offensive inefficiency than they are used to. Still, when they absolutely need to win, they seemingly can. They almost let Seattle back into their Week 6 matchup, but there was little hope the Seahawks' defense could find a way to stop the 49ers.

San Francisco faces a potentially daunting schedule for the rest of the season. In the next four weeks, they play the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7, then the Dallas Cowboys and Tampa Bay Buccaneers before facing Seattle again. There is a chance that the 49ers do not win the NFC West, though discounting they likely will seems foolish.
