Tyler Lockett - WR

One of the most underrated receivers in the entire National Football League continues to play a significant part in the success of the Seahawks every single season.

Since being drafted in the third round of the 2015 draft, Tyler Lockett has consistently been the most reliable player on Seattle's offense, no matter who he was catching passes from. Even with the addition of D.K. Metcalf in 2020, Lockett has played some of the best football of his career.

In the three years since then, he's accomplished three straight (four if you count 2019, as well) seasons with over 1,000 receiving yards despite being placed behind the new receiver, all while maintaining a nearly 73% catch percentage.

Now entering a season that will allow him to continue as a reliable weapon for Geno Smith, he will also have the opportunity to step back with rookie Jaxon Smith-Njigba presumably joining the starting lineup. It will finally be a chance for Lockett to have less weight on his shoulders, with production being spread between him, Metcalf, and Smith-Njigba.

But even with that in mind, Lockett will always be the go-to guy for whoever the Seahawks quarterback is because that's the reputation he has earned. That's the type of player he is, and he will always be an essential piece to the offense for as long as he's in Seattle.
