Abraham Lucas - OL

The Seahawks' offensive line has been a troubled area for years, dating back to some of the best seasons during the Pete Carroll and Russell Wilson era. Thankfully since Wilson was traded to the Broncos last year, there was an apparent emphasis on improving the line.

One of the leaders in making the offensive line better? Abraham Lucas.

Despite being one of the rookies the team was depending on to make an immediate impact last year, Lucas outperformed the expectations placed on him coming out of the draft.

He was better than anticipated in pass protection and was a consistent factor in creating space for Kenneth Walker to make game-changing plays, particularly in week seven last year against the Chargers.

Now entering his second season, well acquainted with how it is to play in the NFL and Seattle, Lucas' talent can only grow from here. The experience he gained as a full-season starter, including the playoffs, is invaluable for such a young player.

And it's clear the excitement surrounding his potential is being felt, as Pro Football Focus named Lucas as one of the breakout candidates for the upcoming season.

With training camp around the corner, the tackle will be recovering from offseason shoulder surgery that may prohibit him from fully participating until later this summer. The good news, however, is he is expected to be good to go by week one, ready to get even better alongside fellow lineman Charles Cross to make the offensive line one of the least worrisome units of the team.
