The last few years for the Seahawks have been quite a roller coaster, going from the best team in the NFC West one year and the next completely falling off the map. Then trading away your one-time franchise quarterback made it feel like the team had taken two steps backward on their path to success.

Entering the 2022 season, there was the typical excitement among the 12s but also a bit of hesitation as the team was undergoing a massive change at quarterback for the first time in several years.

But that's where Geno Smith changed everything.

Although he had been on the team for a few years already, finally being given the opportunity to be the official starting quarterback seemed to ignite a fire within Smith, which ultimately led to a memorable season for the Seahawks.
