3 Seattle Seahawks most deserving of making the Pro Bowl

The Pro Bowl honor is still important even if the year-end skills competition is not.

No. 2 - Cornerback Devon Witherspoon

I really wanted to have DK Metcalf on this list as well as he has become the clear alpha among Seahawks receivers in 2023, especially when Seattle has to have a drive near the end of the game to win. Several times this year Metcalf has been clutch in the last three minutes of games to help Seattle drive down the field for a score. But while Metcalf is seventh in touchdown passes in the NFL (8), he is only 19th in receiving yards (998) and is 46th in receptions (60).

Plus, Witherspoon deserves his spot in the Pro Bowl, too. He is even tied for second among defensive backs with 3 sacks, and he has 4 quarterback hits and 4 tackles for loss. While Witherspoon has just one interception, he did turn that into a 97-yard touchdown return in Week 4.

According to Pro Football Focus (subscription required), Witherspoon is the fourth-highest-graded cornerback in the league this year. He is second-best in terms of pass rush and 10th-best in run defense. Witherspoon is simply a well-rounded cornerback who likely still is nowhere near how good he will be in future seasons. The Seahawks absolutely made a great choice in picking Witherspoon fifth overall in the 2023 NFL draft.
