Assistant coach target No. 2 - Zachary Orr, Ravens LB coach

Another possible defensive coaching addition to Macdonald's staff is the Ravens LB coach Zachary Orr. Similar to Dennard Wilson, Orr was an assistant to Macdonald during his time with the Ravens. Orr is a young coach at just 32 years old, coaching with the Ravens for six years, including four years as a defensive analyst and two as a linebackers coach. Would Macdonald make Orr his defensive coordinator or find another coaching role for Orr?

Orr has not been in the league for a long time, which means Macdonald could just keep him in a similar role to what he had in Baltimore. Whatever role Orr has as a defensive coach for the Seahawks, Orr's relationship with a particular Ravens free-agent linebacker could be significant. Ravens linebacker Patrick Queen is going to be a highly sought-after free agent this off-season. Could Orr lure Queen to Seattle, if Macdonald brings Orr on as an assistant coach?

Queen has been a force on the Ravens' defense ever since they drafted him out of LSU. The Seahawks have two linebackers set to hit free agency as well, so they could go after Queen in free agency to replace either Bobby Wagner or Jordyn Brooks. This is why Macdonald is going to be interested in bringing Zachary Orr with him to Seattle. Orr could potentially help bring Patrick Queen to Seattle if he is hired as a defensive coach for the Seahawks.
