Cardinals vs. Seahawks key players to watch
Arizona Cardinals
Victor Dimukeje: For the Cardinals to have a shot in this game they need to pressure Geno Smith like the Bengals were able to do last week. That means Victor Dimukeje is going to be a key palyer for them this week. He has 3.5 sacks and four tackles for a loss on the season, so if he can continue to disrupt opposing offenses, they have a shot to stay in this game.
Seattle Seahawks
DK Metcalf: The Cardinals biggest weakness is their secondary, which means the key players for the Seahawks are their receivers, including their big-play target, DK Metcalf. He's averaging 15.3 yards per catch and he is well poised to have a field day against Arizona on Sunday.
Cardinals vs. Seahawks prediction and pick
The Cardinals are starting to crash back down to earth after a solid start to their season when they were looking like a frisky team. Now, they're starting to look like who we thought they would. Their metrics have fallen off a cliff over the past two weeks.
The Seahawks are a matchup nightmare for the Cardinals. Arizona's biggest strength is its ability to run the ball, ranking second in the NFL for yards per carry, averaging 5.3 yards per rush. Unfortunately for them, they not face a Seahawks team that has the best opponent yards per carry in the league, keeping teams to just 3.2 yards per rush.
Meanwhile, the biggest weakness for the Cardinals is their secondary, giving up 7.3 yards per throw and 8.4 yards per throw over their last three games. Now, they face a Seahawks offense that ranks inside the top 10 in EPA/dropback and yards per pass attempt.
This is shaping up to be a blowout in favor of the Seahawks.
