Some players are going to have to be better in Week 3 than they were in Week 2. Most specifically, running back Zach Charbonnet needs to find a way to break free when he barrels into the middle of the opposing defensive line. The Seattle Seahawks running back did little to help Geno Smith and the offense until quite late against the New England Patriots.

For the second straight week, Kenneth Walker III will not be able to play with an oblique injury he suffered after running for over 100 yards in the season opener. Against New England, Charbonnet managed just 38 yards on 14 carries and another 31 yards receiving. Of those 69 total yards, 33 of them came on Seattle's last two full drives of the game. He needed to do more earlier.

Backup Kenny McIntosh only got two reps on offense in Week 2 even though he has flashed an explosiveness when healthy in training camp and preseason games. If Charbonnet starts slowly against the Dolphins, McIntosh needs a chance to get meaningful reps.

Seattle Seahawks final injury report for Week 3 against the Miami Dolphins

Miami struggled against the Buffalo Bills in Week 2 against the run and gave up 107 yards rushing on just 20 carries to Buffalo's top two running backs. The Bills just overpowered the Dolphins defensive line at times, so Seattle should be able to run the ball.

Seattle will also be without Uchenna Nwosu for the third straight game. The hope is that he can return against a good Detroit Lions team in Week 4. Nwosu injured his knee during the preseason. Fellow linebacker Jerome Baker also seems unlikely to play.

The player that will miss Week 3 whose absence will probably have the most impact is Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. He suffered a concussion in Week 2 and will likely be out for some time. In his place will be Skylar Thompson who has nowhere near the talent Tagovailoa has. With no Tagovailoa, Miami may have to go with a shorter passing game so the Seahawks defense might play closer to the line which should help with run defense as well.
