How to watch Seahawks vs. Broncos in NFL Week 1 with and without cable
By Lee Vowell
The 2024 NFL season is almost upon us, 12s. The Seattle Seahawks will play the Denver Broncos in Week 1 of the regular season. Seattle has a new head coach and the Broncos have a new (and rookie) quarterback. Anything can happen.
For Seahawks fans, this is basically a must-watch game (besides the Super Bowl) if there has been one since 2010. That was the year that Seattle welcomed in Pete Carroll as head coach. Now, Mike Macdonald is the head coach. The defense should be better and, hopefully, the offense just as efficient. The team could be really good.
The issue is that Week 1s are often a lie. Just because a team wins or loses does not mean they are going to be good or bad. Most of the starters have not played in the preseason so there will be some rust even if a player has a million reps in practice. At least, Geno Smith and the Seattle offense looked sharp in the one series they had in the preseason.
How to watch the Seahawks play the Broncos in Week 1 with or without cable
Will the offense look sharp and how can you watch it if they do? That is an excellent question. The game will be shown on CBS so if one lives in the Seattle area, KIRO-TV will broadcast the game. Thankfully, whatever area you live in in the Pacific Northwest will show the game. You might just have to check your local listing.
If you live nationally, a lot of the western part of the United States will be able to see the game. The eastern half, not so much. That means for those 12s who live on the East Coast, you might have to subscribe to the NFL Sunday Ticket. It is extremely expensive - far too much - but if you have the money, it's worth it. Maybe.
How to stream Seahawks vs Broncos
The same basically applies if you don't live in the Seattle area. You might have to stream on the Sunday ticket. If you live locally and don't have cable, you likely can stream on the Seattle Seahawks app or at Seahawks (dot) com. If you have the CBS Sports app, you can stream there as well.
The announcers for the game will be Spero Dedes (play-by-play) and Adam Archuleta (analyst). Those guys do an underrated job and deserve more love.
