Marshawn Lynch did the most Marshawn Lynch thing possible in Week 1

Everything about this rules.

One of the many things that absolutely rules about Marshawn Lynch is how effortlessly he moved into retirement.

A lot of successful NFL players struggle to find the next thing after they retire, and Lynch's seamless transition into, like, the two dozen post-career projects he's taking on is almost as impressive as anything he did during his actual playing career.

Lynch's ability to consistently show up in exactly the right moment, like clockwork, is why he remains one of our most beloved atheltes out there. Everything he does seems somehow both entirely impromptu and immaculately timed. At this point, I'm not surprised to see Lynch show up in the most random places at the most random time.

If, for instance, he showed up to chat with Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald in the middle of the game, I wouldn't blink an eye.

As Macdonald was in the middle of calling his first game as head coach, CBS cameras cut to Seattle's sideline and captured a pretty cool moment. Like the Fairly Odd Parents, Marshawn Lynch just showed up and was at Macdonald's side hyping him up.

Only Marshawn can get away with this, and only he can make this such a cool moment.

Can you imagine how fun it'd be to be coaching an NFL game while also getting to chat with Lynch? You can see Macdonald try his absolute best to keep the Stoic NFL Coach persona going as long as he could before cracking a smile, because it's impossible not to when Lynch is around.

The Seahawks know what they're doing. Wherever Lynch goes, immaculate vibes follow. It's important to start the season off on an immaculate note, so everything about this makes a ton of sense. Getting to play Bo Nix in the first start of his career in is a nice gift, sure, but having Marshawn Lynch around to make sure everyone on your team – and your traps, apparently – stay loose?

That's the gift that keeps on giving.
