Panthers vs. Seahawks best anytime touchdown scorer picks (Target Jaxon Smith-Njigba)
By Josh Yourish
Geno Smith had a big day in Detroit last week. He led the Seahawks to a 37-31 win in overtime and threw two touchdowns. Kenneth Walker III ran in the other two scores for Seattle and now the 1-1 Seahawks will host the 0-2 Carolina Panthers and Bryce Young.
Carolina hasn’t had too much success on offense, so we’ll focus our first two anytime touchdowns scorer bets on Seattle. Panthers vs. Seahawks anytime TD picks
- Zach Charbonnet +380
- Jaxon Smith-Njigba +285
Zach Charbonnet +380
I’m keying in on Seattle’s rookies this week. They’re starting to get more involved in the offense. Last week, Charbonnet had four carries for 16 yards. Yes, Walker is the goalline back and scored two touchdowns last week, but Walker only averaged 2.5 yards per carry in that game. If Charbonnet’s touches continue to rise then he’ll eventually find the end zone. At +380, this is good value for a talented rookie who’s getting up to speed.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba +285
Here’s the other rookie on the Seahawks offense that I’m backing. The usage of Smith-Njigba has been interesting. He’s not a deep threat, but he’s averaging 5.9 yards per reception which is staggeringly low. He hasn’t scored a touchdown, but the targets are there, he has the same amount as DK Metcalf through two games, so these odds are enticing.
