Patrick Mahomes in Week 1 can break a record set by Russell Wilson with the Seahawks

This is not breaking news, but Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is really good. He has won three Super Bowls and is expected to win more. In Week 1 and beyond, however, he will try to break a record set by Russell Wilson when Wilson was the quarterback of the Seattle Seahawks.
While Wilson is now a divisive figure among many 12s. He was great in his time in Seattle for the most part, but things ended quite badly. The quarterback appeared to want general manager John Schneider and head coach Pete Carroll fired only to find himself basically terminated and traded to the Denver Broncos where he washed out after two seasons.
Still, there is little argument that Wilson was the best quarterback in Seahawks history. The quarterback spent 10 seasons with Seattle. He leads the franchise in wins, passing yards, passing touchdowns, quarterback rating, and just about any other positive statistic one can find.
Wilson even gave Seattle value after he was traded because Denver was bad and the Seahawks were able to draft players such as Boye Mafe and Devon Witherspoon.

Wilson also tied or set a number of records with Seattle. One was having 17 games of four or more touchdown passes in the player's first ten seasons. The quarterback is also tied with Dan Marino, Peyton Manning, and yes...Patrick Mahomes.
Mahomes is only in his eighth season and will likely set the mark within a couple of years, but he also has a chance to do that, of course, in Week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens. The Chiefs play the Ravens on Thursday Night Football to start the season.
Baltimore is new Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald's former team. Macdonald was the defensive coordinator for Baltimore for the last two seasons. Last year, the Ravens statistically had the best defense in the NFL. With no Macdonald, one might wonder if Mahomes will have greater success than he did in last year's AFC Championship game when he threw for 241 yards and one touchdown.
Baltimore is still expected to be good defensively. Maybe Mahomes won't throw for four touchdowns in Week 1. If he does, Russell Wilson will no longer be tied for most four-plus touchdown passes in a game in a quarterback's first 10 seasons.
