NFL free agency gets underway - unofficially officially - on Monday. The Seattle Seahawks and every other NFL team can legally tamper with players and work out deals to be signed when the league year begins on Wednesday, March 13. Seattle could work out deals with its own free agents prior to that, of course, but that seems unlikely at this point.

Seattle has a fairly large number of free agents. The team created even more last week by releasing tight end Will Dissly, safeties Jamal Adams and Quandre Diggs, and defensive tackle Bryan Mone. Seattle now is in the top ten of the league in cap room.

Even though Seattle did make a lot of cap room, they still do not have anywhere near the top four teams. The Seahawks have nearly $55 million heading into free agency, top ten in the league, but the number four team, for instance, is the New England Patriots with $75,390,809. The Washington Commander have $96,088,007. In other words, Seattle will need to be careful with how it spends.

Keeping track of every move by the Seattle Seahawks in 2024 free agency

Seattle's greatest needs in free agency (and in the 2024 NFL draft in April) might be at tight end, safety, linebacker, and along the interior of the offensive line. The main reason for this is that Seattle currently has zero proven veteran tight ends or linebackers on the 2024 roster, and just one safety - Julian Love. The team will need to find answers in free agency but not overspend at the same time.

This article will be updated will all the latest confirmed information on who the Seahawks are signing and who is leaving Seattle. Expect many of their own to leave. But this is where things stand now.
