Wide receivers

The numbers are just really sad here. DK Metcalf led the team in receiving yards with 47, but he led all receivers by 30 yards. That's horrendous. If Metcalf has 47 yards in each game this season he will finish 799 which is, well...bad. Worse, DK Metcalf once again lost his head and got an unsportsmanlike penalty called on him. Metcalf is a good dude, but he needs to control himself better on the field.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Tyler Lockett were mostly invisible. Maybe that is through no fault of their own, though Smith-Njigba did have a drop. Lockett was bullied by the Rams secondary.

Tight ends

Will Dissly started off fairly well with a couple of catches in the first half, but those would be the only times he was targeted. Noah Fant should be capable of having a good year feeding off of what should be a good Seahawks receiving trio, but Fant wasn't even targeted. The entire offense not only looked like they didn't play much in the preseason but that they didn't practice at all this offseason.

Grade: D+

Offensive line

Just look at the numbers. Seattle had 13 first downs and averaged 3.9 yards per play. 3 point 9. The Seahawks also got outgained 426 yards to 180 for Seattle. Yes, Cross and Lucas left the game early, but the offense wasn't exactly scoring touchdowns before they left. The offensive line certainly didn't look better than the 2022 version; It looked worse.
