Jamal Adams is back (again)!

12s got to see a super excited Jamal Adams return in Week 4 for the first time in more than a year when he suffered a leg injury in Week 1 of the 2022 season. But nine defensive plays into the game, Adams was concussed when he made an awkward dive at New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones and Jones' knee hit Adams in the helmet. Adams obviously had to leave for the rest of the game after that.

But after the bye week, Adams cleared concussion protocol and has been practicing late in the week at full speed. In the nine snaps he played against New York, Adams had 2 tackles and a QB hit. That is while he was trying to shake a year's amount of rust off so he should be even better moving forward. Plus, Adams really didn't play as much as he wanted against the Giants so it might feel to him as if he is returning for the first time...again.

Adams can make a huge difference against the Bengals, though. Cincinnati can run the ball, but they really want to throw more. And why shouldn't they? They have once of the best quarterbacks in the NFL (Joe Burrow) along with one of the better receiving groups. Cincinnati was very effective in Week 5 against the Arizona Cardinals and that was without receiver Tee Higgins.

Higgins will be a game-time decision on Sunday, per reports, but if he can't go the Seahawks still have to deal with Ja'Marr Chase. Chase had 15 catches against the Cardinals, and, again, was without Higgins to help. But if Adams can supply quarterback pressure and help attack the line when Cincy does run, he can be a massive disruptor and free some of his teammates up to do great things as well.
