The return of Jamal Adams

Jamal Adams was this close to playing in Week 3. He practiced fully on Wednesday and Thursday but then went back to being only a partial participant on Friday. Maybe the Seahawks just didn't want to give 12s the implication that Adams would actually play against a Panthers team that didn't have many great receivers. Basically, Jamal Adams wasn't needed in Week 3.

Heck, he might not even be needed in Week 4 against the New York Giants who also don't have a bunch of great receivers. But the game is in New York and on Monday Night Football. That's important as Jamal Adams used to play for the New York Jets and the Giants fans live in the same land as Jets fans and Adams might be extra-motivated to show how great he can be for several reasons.

Here are three. 1) The game is in front of a national audience on Monday Night Football. 2) The game is in New York in front of Jets fans dressed as Giants fans. 3) Jamal Adams wants to show the 2022 rookies (who didn't see him play much as he was injured in Week 1 last year) and the 2023 class that he is an extremely talented and impactful player.

Pete Carroll said Jamal Adams will be back in Week 4 as long as nothing weird happens in practice this week. The Giants might be without Saquon Barkley again due to an ankle injury so New York might throw a bit more. Adams should help with the pass rush. But let's see how creative Seattle is in using the safety.
