Tuesday is an important day across the NFL, of course. Like every other team, the Seattle Seahawks have to trim their roster to 53 and announce who will make the initial 53-man squad. By Wednesday, though, the team can start reworking things if needed, such as Jamal Adams going on IR for the first four games possibly.

Even rookie receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba could miss the first four games if his surgically repaired wrist is not quite ready to hold on to footballs or blocks opponents. That last part might actually be the key, of course. Catching balls is one thing, but Smith-Njigba will do more blocking that pass-catching and if he can't keep your man from taking down a fellow teammate, that's not good.

But there is some other news of note on Tuesday as well. Maybe something to take your mind off all the stress of rosters cuts. Heck, you might even read about a new movie to go see.

Former Seahawks great Marshawn Lynch makes a movie

Let's start with that last part first. You may already know that Marshawn Lynch has a big role in a new film called "Bottoms." The film is about two teenage lesbians who start a female fight club that involves several other motives. Lynch was asked by director Emma Seligman to play the role of teacher/fight club advisor Mr. G.

Lynch is already receiving rave reviews as well. Seligman asked Lynch to be in the film after she saw him on an episode of the Will Arnett-led Netflix show "Murderville," which is a mostly ad-libbed show except for Arnett's part. Lynch is naturally funny, as most 12s know. He just has an easy sense of humor that appears 100 percent genuine. This seems to work extremely well with his role in "Bottoms."

According to the SFGate.com, Seligman said, "I remember (Lynch) was confused. We had to have a few conversations on the phone about it because he was quite surprised that we were offering this to him. I think I needed to gain his trust a little bit.” Sounds exactly like Beast Mode himself, and he and the film seem very worth your time to see.

Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith changes his diet

Geno Smith has taken over the role of QB1 with the Seahawks and has acted like he's held the job for 10 years and will hold it for 10 more. That is exactly what a team wants from its starting quarterback. Smith also seems interested in constantly trying to find new ways to improve his ability on the field and his health off of it.

According to NBC Sports' Peter King, Smith has become a pescatarian. Smith told King, "I haven’t had chicken or beef in four or five months now. I’ve been eating really healthy, really clean." Don't worry, 12s, however. Just because Smith isn't eating beef or chicken doesn't mean he isn't getting enough protein. There are lots of different high-quality protein options for people who don't eat chicken or beef, and Smith can still eat seafood. (And what better city is there to eat seafood in than Seattle, right?)

Smith also hopes that because he has slimmed down a bit, but still kept muscle mass, that this will allow him to be more mobile in 2023. There were times in 2022 that Smith kept drives alive by scrambling a bit, but there were times when it seemed he should have run but didn't. He is clearly capable of picking up some yards with his legs as needed, so maybe he will do more of that this season.

Smith surprisingly had one of the best seasons of any Seahawks quarterback ever in 2022. He was awarded with the NFL's Comeback Player of the Year after leading the NFC in touchdown passes (30) and the entire league in completion percentage (69.8). He could be even better this year.

Seahawks Jake Bobo appears a lock to make the roster

So we've seen for weeks now how the sloth-like speed of Jake Bobo is a waste in the NFL, right? He's only on the roster currently because every other Seahawks receiver is injured. Maybe he could go be a graduate assistant coach somewhere. (OK, my bad jokes are done.)

One guarantee that Jake Bobo, who actually always seems to somehow be open and catches everything thrown his way even though he isn't DK Metcalf-fast, is going to be on the initial 53-man roster is that after Seattle's preseason finale against the Green Bay Packers Bobo was given a chance at the podium to speak by himself in the post-game press conference. An undrafted rookie free agent allowed to speak to the media post-game? Yeah, Bobo is a lock to make the team so we will definitely be seeing more Bobo!

Seattle Seahawks wanting to trade Devin Bush?

A couple of reports surfaced after Seattle's loss to Green Bay, a game in which Bush played for almost the first three quarters before suffering a concussion, that Seattle is looking to potentially trade Bush. This is the first year Bush has played in Seattle as he was signed as a free agent this offseason. He makes too much money to just release, however, as his dead cap accounts for $2,990,000 while his overall contract is just $3.5 million. In other words, not much savings.

Of course, the Seahawks can blame Jordyn Brooks for the issue with Bush. If Brooks wasn't some kind of superman and getting back from a major knee injury in about 8 months instead of year, Bush would be starting in Week 1. Now Brooks is expected to start next to Bobby Wagner. Insane.
