Seattle Seahawks podcast: Recapping the mock game and previewing preseason game 1

On this episode, we break down the latest from training camp and what to expect when the Seahawks play the Vikings in each team's first preseason game of 2023.

Seattle Seahawks training camp is almost two weeks in and the first preseason game is on Thursday against the Minnesota Vikings at Lumen Field at 7 pm PT. The starters might not play very much, if at all, but there is still a lot that can be learned. Such as who is playing where in the secondary?

But we might have learned just as much about the 2023 Seahawks from the mock game from last week. Geno Smith looked crisp and the receivers, except for Tyler Lockett who was held out with a minor injury, looked potentially explosive.

We discuss all of that on this week's podcast. Plus, which players do we think will be the offensive and defensive MVPs this season? And what do we think of receiver Dee Eskridge's six-game suspension?

There is lots of excellent and philosophy-altering talk throughout the episode about other items as well. For instance, Placebo's singer is getting sued for what exactly? And what did Roger Federer's former coach say negatively about Carlos Alcaraz? And what do we think of the University of Washington joining the Big 10?

You probably definitely want to hear this week’s Rob Gordons which are our five favorite comedic actors of all time. Want us to break it down by each movie? Why would we do that? We don't want the show to last for 14 hours and, likely, neither do you.

If you want to have the people you live with listen to the show while you're trying to find out how the new cable remote works, you can download the podcast for later listening on your personal tablet. That way you can make sure the podcast seems as fresh as stale bread. Like really stale, almost moldy.

The 12th Man Rising podcast always has you covered on what's new in the Seahawks shire, we believe (we get paid to say that). Make sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook to be the first to read about future episodes. Then after reading that a new episode is out, you can listen as well!
