The Seahawks have plenty of draft capital in this year’s draft with a total of ten draft picks. They will have many opportunities to take chances on players other teams look over. This article will look at the best possible steals for the Seahawks to select in the 2023 draft.

Seattle found big success in last year’s draft by finding hidden gems in the middle to late rounds of the draft. They selected Kenneth Walker III with the 41st pick in the 2022 NFL Draft and he was a big find in round two. Walker rushed for over 1,000 yards in 2022 and had nine touchdowns. Many teams passed up on Walker given running backs have not been as highly sought after in the modern NFL, however, Seattle’s gamble paid off.

Another solid Day Two find in the 2022 draft was tackle Abraham Lucas, who the Seahawks took with the 72nd pick in the third round. Lucas was a rock for the Hawks at right tackle starting 16 out of 17 games as a rookie. Seattle hopes Lucas will continue to be a pillar on the offensive line for years to come.

3 steals the Seahawks could take in the 2023 NFL draft

Most importantly, the Seahawks were able to take cornerback Tariq Woolen at 153rd overall in the fifth round of the draft. Woolen came in as a raw defensive back prospect given his limited experience at the position but had exceptional athleticism. Under Peter Carroll’s tutelage, the rookie cornerback led all rookies in interceptions with six and made the pro bowl.

The Seahawks found talented players on day two and beyond in the 2022 NFL Draft. Now they hope to do the same in the 2023 NFL Draft with a boatload of picks to use. Here are three potential 2023 draft steals the Seahawks should consider.
