3 running backs Seahawks should target in 2023 NFL Draft
By Almar Reyes
Seahawks target No. 3: Zach Charbonnet - UCLA Bruins
There are multiple options for the Seahawks to decide on which rookie running back to take in this year's draft. If the team decides to take one in the second round, there are two players that might entice them to pull that trigger. Those two players are Jahmyr Gibbs from Alabama, and the other is Zach Charbonnet from UCLA. Both players possess great talent at the running back position, Jahmyr Gibbs profiles as a great pass-catching back, while Zach Charbonnet is considered to be a bell cow type of back.
It is up to the Seahawks' management to decide what type of complimentary running back they want to pair with their own, Kenneth Walker III. They can take a stab at Charbonnet with one of their two second-rounders and have him split work with Walker guaranteeing both backs to stay healthy throughout the season. The possibilities for the Seahawks are endless, whether or not they pull the trigger in taking a running back with one of their four early-round picks makes for an intriguing scenario.
All the running backs we mentioned possess great talent, it is a matter on who fits perfectly with what Seattle wants to build this year and the years succeeding.
