Seahawks game-by-game predictions Weeks 6 and 7

Seattle at the Cincinnati Bengals, Week 6 at 10 am PT

This is going to be a fun matchup. Cincinnati is loaded with receivers and has an excellent quarterback. Seattle has a much-improved secondary with good young cornerbacks and veteran talent at safety. Cincinnati has an improved offensive line most likely, but Seattle added better pass rushers along the defensive line in free agency.

I think Seattle can score some points in this game, but my hope is they try to limit the amount of time Joe Burrow is on the field. Seattle making the game shorter by eating the clock by establishing a run game early is likely a boon to success. But I think Burrow's experience is just a bit too much for Seattle's young corners and Cincinnati wins 28-27.

Seattle at home versus the Arizona Cardinals, Week 7 at 1:05 pm PT

The Cardinals probably won't have Kyler Murray either time the Cardinals play Seattle this season. Murray tore his ACL fairly late in 2022. If he does return, he probably won't be 100 percent, at least not until 2024. And the fact is, what makes Murray most dangerous against Seattle is his running ability, not his throwing.

Arizona is trying to do a bit of a rebuild. They will have a new coaching staff and lots of new players. On paper, the Seahawks are the more talented team. There really isn't a reason for Seattle to be focused for both Cardinals games in 2023 and defeat Arizona twice. Seattle gets the win at home 27-16.
