Seahawks game-by-game predictions Weeks 12 and 13

Seattle at home versus the San Francisco 49ers, Week 12 on Thanksgiving at 5:20 pm PT

Seattle didn't come close to beating the 49ers in 2022 but the talent gap might be closed a bit now. Still, after Seattle defeated the 49ers in 15 of 17 meetings between 2014 and 2021, we can all be assured the domination of San Francisco is over. But we can at least hope for a split of games in 2023.

Seattle will get the win at home. After a close first half where the 49ers hold a 3-point halftime lead, Geno Smith will throw two third quarter touchdown passes, one to Tyler Lockett and one to Zach Charbonnet, to take a 24-13 lead and Seattle will hold on to win 27-21 on Thanksgiving night.

Seattle at the Dallas Cowboys, Week 13 on Thursday Night Football at 5:15 pm PT

The Cowboys had a bad offseason, but they still have a bunch of good talent. Dallas is likely never to win a Super Bowl with Jerry Jones as the general manager of the team and the head coach being afraid to really argue with him (Jimmy Johnson wasn't afraid in the early 1990s), but they have been better recently than in the last two decades. The Cowboys are a dangerous team.

The Cowboys have a good defense and a great running game. They can control tempo and that is something the Seahawks, even while they were better in 2023 than in the later Russell Wilson years, struggle with. I wish this game were at Lumen Field, but it's not and that's why Dallas will win 28-21.
