Seahawks player to watch No. 1 - Defensive end Uchenna Nwosu

Nwosu needs to have a big game on Sunday if the Seahawks are to have a chance against the Lions. He was unable create much pressure against the Rams in Week 1 and Matthew Stafford had plenty of time to pick apart the Seahawks secondary because of it. Knowing what Nwosu has done for the Seahawks in the past, he should be more of a factor in Seattle's pass rush going forward.

Nwosu and the Seahawks defense face a difficult challenge in Week 2, as the Lions feature one of strongest offensive lines in the NFL. Detroit's quick passing game and rushing attack will be a significant challenge for Nwosu and the Seahawks defense as well. Hopefully, DC Clint Hurtt can dial up blitzes on Sunday to give Nwosu opportunities to apply pressure to Jared Goff.

In Seattle's 2022 matchup with the Lions, Nwosu had the Seahawks' only sack against the Lions. He also had the Seahawks' only tackle for loss. Nwosu is a key difference maker for Seattle's defense, and for them to have success on Sunday, Nwosu will need to give the 'Hawks a big game. After a rough performance in Week 1, the Seahawks are looking to Nwosu to provide them with a spark on the defensive line.
