Seahawks player to watch No. 1 - Geno Smith

Even though Geno Smith struggled in the 2022 season finale at home against the Rams, he did have a spectacular game against them in LA earlier that year. Going 28/39, throwing three touchdown passes, with just one interception, and passing for 367 yards. He also led a game-winning drive late in the fourth quarter, connecting with receiver DK Metcalf for a touchdown with just 38 seconds left in the game.

Geno should be able to replicate the success he had against the Rams in LA back in 2022. Since the Rams traded three-time All-Pro and six-time Pro Bowl corner Jalen Ramsey to Miami in the off-season. The Rams being without Ramsey gives Geno the opportunity to exploit the Rams' secondary and open up the passing game. Ramsey will no longer be there to lock down one side of the field and wreak havoc (Ramsey intercepted Geno twice the last time these teams faced).

How well Geno handles the pass rush from the Rams could also be a determining factor in this week's game. He was sacked three times in the previous match-up against LA and the pressure clearly forced him to make bad decisions with the football.

How well newly acquired center Evan Brown and the rest of the Seahawks offensive line protect Geno could determine how well Geno plays. If Geno has time to throw the ball, he and the Seahawks offense should have no problem putting points on the board.
