The Seattle Seahawks really need a victory. Not even to just try to make a push for the postseason, either. Seattle needs a win to help the locker room not digress anymore, and to potentially save the head coaching life of Pete Carroll in Seattle. Since coming to Seattle in 2010, Carroll had never had a team lose four straight games, and now the team is favored to lose a fifth straight.

While injuries have not been the reason Seattle sits at 6-7 before facing the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football in Week 15, injuries have certainly hurt (pardon the pun). Would the defense be any better had edge rusher Uchenna Nwosu not been lost for the season after being injured in Week 7? Likely.

Meanwhile, Jamal Adams has continued on for most of the season, having missed just one game since coming back in Week 4. The issue with Adams was he simply has not been good. Maybe this is because he has suffered so many injuries over the years that he lacks explosiveness. But he doesn't need to be playing in the condition he has been in and he didn't practice during the week before Week 15.

Inactives for the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15 versus the Philadelphia Eagles

Quarterback Geno Smith was limited all week of practice and he missed Week 14 with a groin injury. If he does not have full mobility then it made sense for Seattle to start Drew Lock at QB again. Lock was far from perfect against the San Francisco 49ers, but he wasn't the reason the team lost. The defense was. Meanwhile, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has been sick this week and was questionable for the game but he will play.

Let's just hope Seattle can get their ground game going and stick with it for much more of the game than they normally do. Eating clock shortens the game for the Seahawks against the Eagles. Any way of getting a victory is a good way for Seattle.
