Seattle still doesn't know if they will face Saquon Barkley

Barkley, one of the best running backs in the NFL, missed Week 3 after being hurt against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2. He is dealing with an ankle sprain but the injury is not a high ankle sprain so he should be able to return sooner than later. In fact, he could return as early as Week 4 on Monday Night Football against the Seahawks. But according to Giants coach Brian Daboll, Barkley is "day-to-day."

Barkley didn't practice on Tuesday, but he has enough experience where New York could just keep him out of practice all week and he would still play on Monday. The issue is, of course, that a running back has to be healthy enough to make quick cutbacks and obviously having an injured ankle is going to be a problem.

Very likely, the Seahawks won't know if they will face Barkley until game day. Seattle did a good job of keeping Barkley controlled when Seattle defeated the Giants in Week 8 of 2022. Barkley had 20 carries but just 53 yards rushing though he did score a touchdown. Barkley also caught 3 passes but for only 9 yards.

The Giants have struggled offensively in 2023. They are 28th in passing yards and 25th in rushing yards. New York is also 31st in points scored. Partly due to getting destroyed by the Dallas Cowboys 40-0 in Week 1, The Giants currently have a negative score differential of minus-55, second-worst in the NFL.
