3 Seahawks players who could be cut before playing a snap

John Hall, WR
Seattle already had two of the best wide receivers in the game, and one of the best duos in football, with D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. But, then came the 2023 NFL Draft. The Seahawks were able to select Ohio State wideout Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the first round, giving them an embarrassment of riches at the position.
It is pretty safe to say that Geno Smith should have an even bigger year in 2023 than he did in his late breakout that was the 2022 campaign. Behind those three, the Seahawks have 2021 second-round pick Dee Eskridge, who is still awaiting his time to break loose.
Then, there are veterans Cody Thompson and Dareke Young. Thompson has spent the last three years with Seattle as mostly a practice squad candidate while Young came to Seattle as a seventh rounder last year.
From there, the depth chart features another six wide receivers and that includes four undrafted free agents from this year. One of those guys is John Hall out of Northwood, and he's simply buried too far behind everyone in front of him. Unfortunately, his best shot is at the practice squad, but he'd even have to beat out several guys for a spot there.
